# StudySnap vs When

The clearest difference is update cadence: When at every 3 days against StudySnap's fortnightly. StudySnap's advantage is iOS requirement (13.4 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StudySnap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and When sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudySnap ships an update fortnightly, When every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
