# HuYue VPN vs LeapCloud

The clearest difference is rating: LeapCloud at 5.0 against HuYue VPN's 4.2. LeapCloud also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). HuYue VPN's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (18 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HuYue VPN sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and LeapCloud sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LeapCloud holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HuYue VPN has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
