# Cogni vs StudyRank

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StudyRank at 100% against Cogni's 36%. StudyRank also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Cogni's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 4) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cogni sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and StudyRank sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyRank holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cogni has 1.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Cogni's written reviews are positive against 100% of StudyRank's.

Cogni ships an update every 10 days, StudyRank every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
