# HEPIQ vs Afkar Academ

The clearest difference is rating: Afkar Academ at 3.7 against HEPIQ's 1.3. Afkar Academ also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). HEPIQ's advantage is ratings volume (5.9K vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Afkar Academ holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HEPIQ has 5.9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HEPIQ ships an update every 2 weeks, Afkar Academ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
