# HEPIQ vs Cad Academy

The clearest difference is rating: Cad Academy at 4.0 against HEPIQ's 1.3. Cad Academy also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). HEPIQ's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (5.9K vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cad Academy holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HEPIQ has 5.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HEPIQ ships an update every 2 weeks, Cad Academy every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
