# HeightMax vs FitScribe

The clearest difference is rating: FitScribe at 5.0 against HeightMax's 3.7. FitScribe also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 months). HeightMax's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HeightMax sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and FitScribe sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FitScribe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HeightMax has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HeightMax ships an update every 8 months, FitScribe every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
