# NEXTUP vs UC

The clearest difference is ratings volume: UC at 435 against NEXTUP's 8. UC also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for NEXTUP against 4.9 for UC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UC has 435 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NEXTUP ships an update fortnightly, UC weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
