# Crunchyroll Manga vs Ryuu App

The clearest difference is rating: Crunchyroll Manga at 4.4 against Ryuu App's 3.3. Crunchyroll Manga also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 44). Ryuu App's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crunchyroll Manga sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month. Ryuu App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Crunchyroll Manga holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crunchyroll Manga has 2.2K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Crunchyroll Manga's written reviews are positive against 43% of Ryuu App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Crunchyroll Manga ships an update fortnightly, Ryuu App every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
