# Tracklib vs Recrate

The clearest difference is rating: Recrate at 5.0 against Tracklib's 4.2. Recrate also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). Tracklib's advantage is ratings volume (325 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tracklib sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Recrate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Recrate holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tracklib has 325 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tracklib ships an update every 2 weeks, Recrate every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
