# SmartMe vs Flick

The clearest difference is rating: SmartMe at 4.8 against Flick's 3.5. SmartMe also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). Flick's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 15). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartMe sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Flick asks for nothing beyond the download.

SmartMe holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartMe has 3.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of SmartMe's written reviews are positive against 50% of Flick's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmartMe ships an update weekly, Flick every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
