# Flight Tracker ++ vs Flight Radar

The clearest difference is monetization model: Flight Radar at freemium against Flight Tracker ++'s subscription. Flight Radar also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Flight Tracker ++'s advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Tracker ++ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Flight Radar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flight Tracker ++ ships an update every 6 weeks, Flight Radar every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
