# Flight Tracker ++ vs Squawk

The clearest difference is monetization model: Squawk at freemium against Flight Tracker ++'s subscription. Squawk also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Flight Tracker ++'s advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Tracker ++ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Squawk sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Squawk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 6 respectively.

Flight Tracker ++ ships an update every 6 weeks, Squawk every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
