# Blackout Coffee vs Primal Eats MD

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Blackout Coffee at 3.9K against Primal Eats MD's 4. Primal Eats MD's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Blackout Coffee against 5.0 for Primal Eats MD. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blackout Coffee has 3.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Blackout Coffee's written reviews are positive against 100% of Primal Eats MD's.

Blackout Coffee ships an update monthly, Primal Eats MD every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
