# Halo vs Talk Macros

The clearest difference is ads: Halo at none against Talk Macros's shown. Halo also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (112 vs 27). Talk Macros's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 58%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Halo sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Talk Macros sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Halo holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 112 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Halo's written reviews are positive against 83% of Talk Macros's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
