# MemoCards vs NotesXP

The clearest difference is rating: NotesXP at 4.8 against MemoCards's 3.8. NotesXP also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (53 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MemoCards sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and NotesXP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NotesXP holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NotesXP has 53 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MemoCards ships an update weekly, NotesXP every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
