# Flute Sim vs Simple Trombone

The clearest difference is update cadence: Simple Trombone at every 4 weeks against Flute Sim's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flute Sim sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Simple Trombone sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flute Sim ships an update every 4 months, Simple Trombone every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
