# Achilles vs Wheneri

The clearest difference is monetization model: Wheneri at freemium against Achilles's subscription. Wheneri also leads on ratings volume (67 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). Achilles's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Achilles sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Wheneri sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Achilles holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wheneri has 67 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Achilles's written reviews are positive against 87% of Wheneri's.

Achilles ships an update weekly, Wheneri every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
