# ForestLibrary vs Tidegate

The clearest difference is ads: Tidegate at none against ForestLibrary's shown. ForestLibrary's advantage is ratings volume (49 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 10 days). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ForestLibrary sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Tidegate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ForestLibrary against 5.0 for Tidegate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ForestLibrary has 49 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ForestLibrary ships an update every 3 days, Tidegate every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
