# Barkware vs Kashjoy

The clearest difference is ads: Barkware at none against Kashjoy's shown. Barkware also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Kashjoy's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (5K vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Barkware against 4.9 for Kashjoy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kashjoy has 5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Barkware ships an update every 5 weeks, Kashjoy every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
