# Action vs Bear Notes

The clearest difference is ads: Bear Notes at none against Action's shown. Bear Notes also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). Action's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Action sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Bear Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Action ships an update every 5 days, Bear Notes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
