# Base Power vs ShermanTexas

The clearest difference is rating: Base Power at 4.4 against ShermanTexas's 3.3. Base Power also leads on ratings volume (45 vs 4) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). ShermanTexas's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 74%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Base Power holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Base Power has 45 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Base Power's written reviews are positive against 100% of ShermanTexas's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Base Power ships an update every 3 weeks, ShermanTexas every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
