# Annotate vs LitePix

The clearest difference is ads: LitePix at none against Annotate's shown. Annotate's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 8 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Annotate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and LitePix sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Annotate ships an update every 4 months, LitePix every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
