# Unsolved Case vs Kubo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Kubo at every 3 days against Unsolved Case's every 3 weeks. Kubo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Unsolved Case's advantage is ratings volume (105 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unsolved Case sells 22 one-off in-app purchases and Kubo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kubo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unsolved Case has 105 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Unsolved Case ships an update every 3 weeks, Kubo every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
