# Ethos Training vs Awayward

The clearest difference is monetization model: Awayward at free against Ethos Training's free with in-app purchases. Ethos Training's advantage is ratings volume (44 vs 6). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Ethos Training against 5.0 for Awayward. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ethos Training has 44 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Ethos Training ships an update every 4 weeks, Awayward fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
