# VideoScript vs Gistly

The clearest difference is update cadence: Gistly at every 5 days against VideoScript's monthly. Gistly also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VideoScript sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Gistly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VideoScript ships an update monthly, Gistly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
