# LingoYak vs Eppika

The clearest difference is rating: Eppika at 4.8 against LingoYak's 3.5. Eppika also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 2). LingoYak's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 69%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LingoYak sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Eppika sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Eppika holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eppika has 1.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of LingoYak's written reviews are positive against 69% of Eppika's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LingoYak ships an update every 2 weeks, Eppika every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
