# PlankHaus vs Sunset Core

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sunset Core at every 3 weeks against PlankHaus's every 10 months. Sunset Core also leads on ratings volume (17 vs 3). PlankHaus's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for PlankHaus against 5.0 for Sunset Core. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sunset Core has 17 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PlankHaus ships an update every 10 months, Sunset Core every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
