# RVDIP vs Redback

The clearest difference is update cadence: Redback at every 2 weeks against RVDIP's every 5 months. Redback also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RVDIP ships an update every 5 months, Redback every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
