# Note vs FocusCat

The clearest difference is ads: Note at none against FocusCat's shown. Note also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). FocusCat's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Note sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and FocusCat sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Note ships an update every 3 weeks, FocusCat every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
