# Tuba Sim vs Oboe Tuner

The clearest difference is rating: Tuba Sim at 3.9 against Oboe Tuner's 1.0. Tuba Sim also leads on ratings volume (27 vs 1). Oboe Tuner's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tuba Sim sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Oboe Tuner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tuba Sim holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tuba Sim has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tuba Sim ships an update every 3 months, Oboe Tuner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
