# Aura vs Built Workout

Aura and Built Workout both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 84% of Built Workout's written reviews are positive against 37% of Aura's. Built Workout also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Aura's advantage is ratings volume (3.2K vs 382). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aura sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Built Workout sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Aura against 4.8 for Built Workout. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aura has 3.2K ratings behind it against 382, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 37% of Aura's written reviews are positive against 84% of Built Workout's.

Aura ships an update every 3 weeks, Built Workout every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
