# NCSA Athletic Recruiting vs Minga

The clearest difference is monetization model: Minga at free against NCSA Athletic Recruiting's freemium. Minga also leads on rating (3.0 vs 2.7) and chart position (#118 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Minga holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minga has 7.7K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of NCSA Athletic Recruiting's written reviews are positive against 12% of Minga's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NCSA Athletic Recruiting ships an update every 6 weeks, Minga every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
