# NCSA Athletic Recruiting vs MC Events

The clearest difference is monetization model: MC Events at free against NCSA Athletic Recruiting's freemium. MC Events also leads on rating (3.0 vs 2.7) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.6). NCSA Athletic Recruiting's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MC Events holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NCSA Athletic Recruiting has 1.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
