# FlowTale vs My Dictionary

The clearest difference is ads: FlowTale at none against My Dictionary's shown. My Dictionary's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlowTale sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and My Dictionary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlowTale ships an update every 3 weeks, My Dictionary weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
