AVO protects your iPhone from malware sites, phishing links and scams, and tells you when your email shows up in a data breach. MALWARE & PHISHING PROTECTION (WEB SHIELD) Web Shield blocks known malware, phishing, scam and tracking sites before they load, in every app and browser. It runs as a secure VPN through AVO's server, which checks each website address against threat lists updated every day, and shows you how many it blocked. A Family filter also blocks adult sites. We never store the sites you visit, and secure (HTTPS) pages stay unreadable to us. WHY NOT A TRADITIONAL ANTIVIRUS? iOS doesn't let any app scan your other apps or files, so a classic antivirus or virus scan isn't possible on iPhone. AVO protects you where threats actually reach an iPhone: harmful websites, phishing links, scam messages, weak settings and leaked passwords. SECURITY CHECKUP & SCORE A 30-second checkup looks at your iPhone's own settings: iOS updates, passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, Wi-Fi and more. You get a Security Score from 0 to 100 and step-by-step guides for anything worth fixing. LINK CHECKER & QR SCANNER Paste a link, scan a QR code or share a link from Safari or Messages. AVO checks it against Google Web Risk and look-alike tricks, and tells you whether it looks safe, suspicious or harmful before you open it. AI SCAM CHECKER Got a message about a parcel, a bank or a prize? Paste it in and AVO's AI looks for the usual scam signs, such as false urgency, payment requests and fake links, and explains what it found. Messages are not stored. EMAIL BREACH CHECK & MONITORING See if your email appears in known data breaches, what was exposed and what to do next. Email Monitoring checks up to 4 addresses every day and alerts you when a new breach includes one. Breach data from Have I Been Pwned. WI-FI SCAN See whether the network you're on is password protected, with tips for staying safe on public Wi-Fi. FREE AND AVO PRO The Security Checkup, fix guides and Wi-Fi Scan are free, and you can try a link check, a scam check and an email breach check for free. AVO Pro adds Web Shield, the Family filter, Email Monitoring, the weekly report and unlimited checks. AVO Pro is available as a yearly subscription (with a free trial where offered), a monthly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. ThreatLens helps you check files before opening or sharing them. Pick a file from Files or open a downloaded file directly in ThreatLens, check whether VirusTotal already has a report for its SHA-256 hash, and upload only when a new scan is needed. ThreatLens also lets you inspect and clear extended file attributes from files you choose, including quarantine-related attributes when iOS allows removal. ThreatLens stores your VirusTotal API key in iOS Keychain. Recent scan results and recently cleared attribute history stay on device. The app has separate Scanner, Attributes, Settings, and About tabs.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ThreatLens at none against AVO's 5. ThreatLens also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks). AVO's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
