# Lanmeier vs Lost Device

The clearest difference is rating: Lanmeier at 5.0 against Lost Device's 3.9. Lanmeier also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). Lost Device's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lost Device sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Lanmeier asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lanmeier holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lost Device has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lanmeier ships an update every 2 months, Lost Device every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
