# MintCollect vs PoDex

The clearest difference is ads: PoDex at none against MintCollect's shown. MintCollect's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.4) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MintCollect sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and PoDex sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MintCollect holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MintCollect has 47 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MintCollect ships an update weekly, PoDex every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
