# TV Assistant vs VPN ShieldFlow

The clearest difference is rating: VPN ShieldFlow at 4.3 against TV Assistant's 2.3. VPN ShieldFlow also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (21 vs 3). TV Assistant's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VPN ShieldFlow holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN ShieldFlow has 21 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TV Assistant ships an update every 6 weeks, VPN ShieldFlow every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
