# BALL x PIT vs 4trees

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 4trees at none against BALL x PIT's 2. 4trees also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 71%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). BALL x PIT's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.9 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BALL x PIT sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. 4trees asks for nothing beyond the download.

BALL x PIT holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BALL x PIT has 4.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of BALL x PIT's written reviews are positive against 100% of 4trees's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BALL x PIT ships an update weekly, 4trees every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
