# FacelessCamera vs FaceDrop

The clearest difference is ads: FaceDrop at none against FacelessCamera's shown. FaceDrop also leads on update cadence (every 7 months vs every 21 months) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 16.4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FacelessCamera ships an update every 21 months, FaceDrop every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
