# Fast vs Metis

The clearest difference is rating: Metis at 5.0 against Fast's 1.0. Metis also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 months). Fast's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fast sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Metis sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Metis holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

Fast ships an update every 5 months, Metis every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
