# Echo vs NoteIQ

The clearest difference is ads: Echo at none against NoteIQ's shown. Echo also leads on ratings volume (3.8K vs 1) and chart position (#151 vs unranked). NoteIQ's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and NoteIQ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteIQ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Echo has 3.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Echo ships an update every 3 weeks, NoteIQ every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
