# Echo vs FoxNote

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Echo at 3.6K against FoxNote's 344. Echo also leads on chart position (#144 vs unranked) and review sentiment (39% vs 29%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and FoxNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Echo against 4.5 for FoxNote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Echo has 3.6K ratings behind it against 344, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 39% of Echo's written reviews are positive against 29% of FoxNote's.

Echo ships an update every 3 weeks, FoxNote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
