# Echo vs Trial Connection

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Trial Connection at none against Echo's 9. Trial Connection also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Echo's advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Trial Connection asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trial Connection holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Echo has 3.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Echo ships an update every 3 weeks, Trial Connection every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
