# The Split vs Split

The clearest difference is update cadence: Split at every 2 days against The Split's every 3 weeks. The Split's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Split ships an update every 3 weeks, Split every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
