# Stargaze Stage vs TheFlap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TheFlap at 88% against Stargaze Stage's 50%. TheFlap also leads on ratings volume (230 vs 3) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Stargaze Stage's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TheFlap sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Stargaze Stage asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stargaze Stage holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TheFlap has 230 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Stargaze Stage's written reviews are positive against 88% of TheFlap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stargaze Stage ships an update fortnightly, TheFlap every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
