# OkpaBac vs Podnotes

The clearest difference is ads: Podnotes at none against OkpaBac's shown. Podnotes also leads on ratings volume (52 vs 6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). OkpaBac's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OkpaBac sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.00 per year and Podnotes sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OkpaBac holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Podnotes has 52 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OkpaBac ships an update every 2 weeks, Podnotes every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
