# Tell vs Countdown Widget

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown Widget at every 4 weeks against Tell's every 2 months. Tell's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tell sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown Widget sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tell ships an update every 2 months, Countdown Widget every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
