# Language Learning vs Cappy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Cappy at freemium against Language Learning's subscription. Cappy also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Language Learning's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 3) and chart position (#48 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Language Learning sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Cappy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cappy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Language Learning has 16K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Language Learning ships an update weekly, Cappy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
