# Language Learning vs Yabberoo

The clearest difference is monetization model: Yabberoo at free with in-app purchases against Language Learning's subscription. Yabberoo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Language Learning's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 2) and chart position (#56 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Language Learning sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Yabberoo sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Yabberoo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Language Learning has 16K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Language Learning ships an update weekly, Yabberoo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
